Information you provide

When you use the contact form, MenuEspress may collect your name, restaurant name, phone number, email address, plan interest, and any message you submit. Please do not include payment-card information or other sensitive information in the contact form.

Ordering from a restaurant that uses MenuEspress

When you order online from a restaurant that uses MenuEspress, MenuEspress collects your name, phone number, the email address you enter when paying, what you ordered, your delivery address if you choose delivery, and whether you chose to receive marketing texts or emails — along with when you chose and the wording you were shown. Payments are processed by Stripe; MenuEspress does not receive or store your full card number.

This information is used to place and fulfill your order, send your receipt, let the restaurant contact you about it, and keep business records. Order-update texts are sent only if you check “Text me updates about this order”. It is used for marketing only if you checked a box asking for it: “Text me deals” for texts, “Email me deals” for email — each is separate, and neither is checked for you.

The restaurant you ordered from receives your order and contact details. MenuEspress does not sell your personal information. Mobile phone numbers, text message opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messages. Order-update texts are about 1–2 per order, sent only if you check the box for them; new-order alerts to restaurant owners are one per online order. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text from MenuEspress to stop texts, or HELP for help. Marketing emails stop with the unsubscribe link in any of them. See the Text Message Terms.

Restaurants that use MenuEspress

Phone numbers a restaurant owner enters for new-order alerts are used only to send those alerts, after the owner agrees to receive them, and are never used for marketing or shared with third parties for their marketing.

Facebook and Instagram

A restaurant that uses MenuEspress can connect its Facebook Page, and the Instagram professional account linked to that Page, so that posts drafted in the MenuEspress portal can be published there. Connecting is done through Facebook Login, only when someone who manages the Page chooses to.

When a Page is connected, MenuEspress keeps the Page’s name and ID, the linked Instagram account’s username and ID, the ID of the Facebook account that connected it, and the access token Facebook issues for the Page, which is stored encrypted. For each post MenuEspress publishes, it keeps the post’s ID and link so the restaurant can find it. MenuEspress does not collect the connecting person’s friends, messages, photos or other profile information, and does not read comments, followers or insights.

This information is used only to publish the posts a restaurant chooses, when someone at the restaurant taps “Post now”; nothing is posted automatically. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared with anyone other than Meta, which receives the post itself.

Removing it. Any one of these deletes the connection and its access token: clicking Disconnect under Facebook & Instagram on the portal’s Social posts page; removing MenuEspress in your Facebook settings (Settings & privacy → Settings → Business integrations); or emailing hello@menuespress.com. Information collected automatically

The website and its hosting providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security logs. The site may also request externally hosted font files. The current site does not load a third-party analytics service; analytics-ready events remain within the page unless an analytics service is added later.

How information is used

Information may be used to respond to inquiries, discuss MenuEspress services, provide requested information, operate and secure the website, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.

Service providers

MenuEspress uses service providers to operate the website and its services: Formspree for the contact form, Stripe for payments, Twilio for text messages, SendGrid for email, Meta for publishing to Facebook and Instagram when a restaurant connects its Page, Anthropic and OpenAI (through Vercel) for drafting social posts from a restaurant’s menu, and hosting and database providers. Those providers may process information according to their own terms and privacy practices. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the website, MenuEspress, or others.

Retention and security

Information is retained for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, business records, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. MenuEspress takes reasonable steps to protect information, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

Your choices

You may ask about, correct, or request deletion of information you submitted by emailing hello@menuespress.com. Whether a request can be fulfilled may depend on applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping needs.

Children

This business website is not directed to children, and the contact form is intended for restaurant owners, operators, and other business users.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the website and its practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is published.
